How to Hide Certain Countries in Country and Phone Inputs
In our form designer, the Country and Phone fields come preloaded with predefined values, which include the most recognized countries. However, you can customize these fields to hide countries that you do not want to appear.
Steps to Hide Countries
Access the Settings:
-
Go to the Country or Phone input in the form designer.
-
Click on the gear icon to open the settings for the selected field.
Exclude Countries:
-
Once the settings are displayed, look for the option labeled Exclude Countries from Display.
-
Select the countries you want to hide from the dropdown or list.
-
Click Save to apply your changes.
Effect of Changes:
The excluded countries will no longer appear in the Country or Phone dropdowns in the Create or Edit Form pages.
Additional Features for the Country Field
For the Country field, you can create rules to dynamically show or hide other fields based on the country selected. For example, you can configure conditions like:
-
Show this field if a specific country is selected.
-
Hide this field if a specific country is not selected.
Limitations for the Phone Field
Currently, conditional rules based on the value of the Phone field are not supported. This functionality may be added in future updates.
Dynamic Translation of Country Names
The Country and Phone inputs dynamically translate country names into the language of the form, so you do not need to worry about manual translations.
Tip for Small Sets of Countries
If you are working with a limited set of countries, such as EMR countries or Balkan countries, it is more efficient to create a selectable dropdown with only those countries rather than hiding the rest. This approach simplifies the design and improves usability.
