Use the Unique Feature on Email Fields
When building forms, ensuring clean and accurate data is essential — especially when collecting email addresses. One common issue is allowing the same email to be submitted multiple times, which can lead to duplicates and data conflicts.
To prevent this, you can enable the Unique feature on the email field.
What Does “Unique” Do?
When the Unique flag is enabled for an email field, the system will automatically check if the entered email address already exists in a previous form submission. If it does, the form will display a message to the user letting them know that the email address is already in use.
This ensures that each email is only submitted once, helping you avoid duplicates and maintain clean records.
How to Enable It
-
Go to your Form Designer page.
-
Add or edit an Email field.
-
Toggle the Unique option to enable it.
- Save your changes.
That’s it! Now, your form will automatically block duplicate email submissions.
